Hamilton James & Bruce Grows Its Human Resources Practice

Tuesday 19 February 2008

Listed recruitment company, Hamilton James & Bruce (HJB), is pleased to announce the appointment of Gail Miller as the Manager of its Sydney Human Resources recruitment practice.

Miller has over 27 years experience in recruitment and HR services across a wide range of industries and organisations, and will focus on placing senior HR candidates into executive and middle management roles, providing HR consulting advice, and managing HJB’s successful Human Resources recruitment team.

Miller commenced her recruitment career with Drake in South Africa before moving to Perth to head up their executive recruitment division. She then opened Dunhill Management Services' Perth office (now Robert Walters) before transferring to Sydney in 1998. Once in Sydney, Miller joined Manpower Services as a National Account Director and was responsible for growing and developing master vendor and HR solutions. She then moved onto Adecco and Ross HD, holding business development roles in both organisations, before leaving to start up a technology company.

Miller said that she is relishing the return to consulting and senior level recruitment and executive search. “After 5 years of developing an entrepreneurial small business, I wanted to be back in a ‘collegial’ environment, working with professionals and making a difference.

“Hamilton James & Bruce also offer a range of assessment and development services, such as psychometric testing, and I’m looking forward to leveraging them so that we can deliver the best possible service to our clients,” said Miller.

Established in 1979, Hamilton James & Bruce is an acknowledged leader in the Australian recruitment industry and has a proven track record in finding the right executive, middle management and support people for permanent, temporary and contracting roles.  Hamilton James & Bruce has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Parramatta, Chatswood and the Gold Coast, and can build a national or local solution to meet any recruitment need.
